Ali Pourdad is a Chartered Accountant and a Manager with G-Force Group. He has experience in the area of restructuring and insolvency since early 2010, specifically involved in a number of hotel receiverships as well as a proposal for a public company under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. More recently, Ali was responsible for the receivership administration and sale of the assets of Streetlight Intelligence Inc., formerly a TSX listed public company, which developed an adaptive streetlight dimming technology currently deployed in various cities in Canada and the United States. He has experience with the Wage Earners Protection Program (WEPP) and has also been involved with both asset valuation and property tax appeal work.
Ali has prior experience in the forestry, mining, restaurant services, financial services, and information technology industries. In his previous role at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Ali performed a variety of audits for public and private companies. He also gained significant experience with a wide range of equipment, loan portfolio, and company valuations; served as a project manager on a number of bought-deal financing and convertible bond offerings; provided comfort to underwriters and conducted due diligence meetings with underwriters and legal counsel.
Previously, Ali founded and managed an IT services firm with locations in Vancouver and Edmonton, where he was directly responsible for the financial affairs of the business and gained experience in hiring management, seeking financing and strategic partners, and executing short and long-term business strategy.
He is currently enrolled in the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional Qualification Program (CQP) which will lead to his becoming a licensed Trustee in Bankruptcy.
