Mount Baldy Ski Corp. & Mount Baldy Real Estate, ULC in Receivership

On December 19, 2014, by Order of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Mount Baldy Ski Corporation and Mount Baldy Real Estate, ULC (collectively, “Mount Baldy”), were placed into receivership.  G. Powroznik Group Inc. of G-Force Group is the Receiver-Manager of Mount Baldy’s properties and assets.

On January 8, 2015, the Court made an Order to amend paragraph 2 of the initial order of December 19, 2014 so that specific language with respect to the food and liquor licenses of Mount Baldy is included.  A copy of the amending order is posted below.

Update: July 28, 2016

The sale of the assets of Mount Baldy Ski Corporation and Mount Baldy Real Estate, ULC to 1063205 B.C. Ltd. has closed as of today.

On July 26, Mount Baldy Ski Corporation was assigned into bankruptcy.  Further details on the bankruptcy can be found here. 

Update: June 27, 2016

The Receiver is pleased to announce that, today, the Supreme Court approved the sale of Mount Baldy’s assets to 1063205 B.C. Ltd.  Relating to the sale and the Receiver’s application for Court approval, the following documents are posted below:

The Court made an Order for the return of certain assets of Mount Baldy held in the possession of a third party.  A copy of the Notice of Application dated April 21, 2016 is posted below under “May 2016 Court Application”.  A copy of the Court Order dated May 4, 2016 is posted under “Court Orders”.

Update: November 30, 2015

The Receiver is making a Court application today, November 30, 2015, in the Supreme Court of British Columbia with respect to the Mount Baldy matter. The Receiver is applying to Court to update the Court generally on receivership to date as well as to seek the Court’s direction as to how to proceed with a new offer from a new prospective purchaser that was received during the week of November 23.

Relating to this application, there are documents posted below that include without limitation a significant amount of historical information on the receivership, details on last year’s operation of the Ski Resort, and the Receiver’s intended go-forward plan with respect to a new offer received last week.
