Receivership Information

Status of file (last updated July 29, 2011)

• The sale of the Sunrise Ridge Resort Ltd. assets closed on July 28, 2011.  The Receiver has not yet applied for its discharge as the Receiver must still address outstanding matters in the administration, including property tax appeals and filing of GST/HST returns and receipt of GST/HST refunds.
• On June 13, 2011, the Supreme Court of B.C. approved a sale of the assets of Sunrise Ridge Resort Ltd. to Glacier Lake Investment Corporation ("GLIC").  Prior to that date, the Receiver had made its Second Report, Supplemental Second Report, and Third Report to Court and the Court has made a Sealing Order to keep the contents of those reports confidential until such time the sale of the assets to GLIC closes.  The Vesting Order and the Sealing Order are posted in the "Court Orders" section below.  The closing date of the sale is not yet known but is expected to occur sometime in July 2011.
• The Receiver made its First Report to Court dated November 1, 2010 and an Order was granted to increase the Receiver's borrowing power under paragraph 22 of the Receivership Order to $520,000
• On April 20, 2010, G. Powroznik Group Inc. of G-Force Group was appointed as the Receiver and Manager (the "Receiver") of Sunrise Ridge Resort Ltd. and all its assets, undertakings and properties, including all proceeds thereof (collectively, the "Property"), by the Supreme Court of British Columbia, pursuant to section 243 of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, Section 66 of the Personal Property Security Act, Section 39 of the Law and Equity Act, and Rule 47 of the Rules of Court.
